On par for the upcoming 4th of July weekend, the verdict in the high-profile court case of Bad Boy Records Founder, Sean “Diddy” Combs, provided plenty of fireworks on Wednesday morning (July 2).
Boosie Badazz Speaks Out Following Diddy Verdict
Diddy was found not guilty of racketeering, trafficking of Cassie, and the trafficking of Jane Doe. He was found guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution related to Cassie and was found guilty of the same charges relating to Jane Doe.
The verdict in such a long-winded case, that kicked off nearly two years ago led to several reactions.
One person who did not mince words was Louisiana rap star, Boosie Badazz. Following the verdict the Wipe Me Down artist took to social media. Saying that the crimes that Diddy was accused of are something that has become the norm among celebrities.
“ I FEEL DIDDY IN JAIL FOR BASICALLY DOING WHAT EVERY OTHER FAMOUS ENTERTAINER HAS DONE. ‘FLEW B*TCHES OUT FOR 3 SOMES. ‘HE JUST FREAKIER!!,” the rap star wrote on social media on Wednesday.
Boosie also challenged what now constitutes a prostitute. Noting that he felt many of the people who were brought into the equation during the trial were consenting adults.
“WE GONNA CALL WOMEN PROSTITUTES WHO FLY AND WILLINGLY TO BE WITH THEIR PARTNERS FOR SEX? IF THAT’S THE CASE IF YOU’VE BEEN FLOWN OUT AND HAD SEX YOU SHOULD BE LABELED A PROSTITUTE!! IF THAT’S THE CASE THATS 80% OF THE WOMEN READING THIS.” he added.
Despite scoring three major acquittals, Diddy did not go home a free man on Wednesday. He was still charged with the illegal prostitution of Jane Doe, believed to be his ex-girlfriend Daphne Joy and Cassie. The music mogul requested to be released on bail. But that request was denied by Judge Arun Subramanian. He will be sentenced for those crimes on October 3.
