Fresh off his release from prison earlier this year, NBA Youngboy is set to release his eighth studio album Make America Slime Again (MASA). The new project is slated to release on July 25th.

Kodak Black Reignites Beef With NBA Youngboy

As the release date for Youngboy’s new album draws nearer, the hype grows. But rap star Kodak Black is preparing fans for potential disappointment. In a recent social media post, Kodak says that the new album is “straight trash.”

“I just heard little bruh album it’s straight trash, I don’t even like that,” he said in an Instagram video. “And I like Youngboy music but that sh*t a** though.”

Although Kodak claimed to “like” Youngboy,’s music he still doubles down on his criticism of the rap star later on in the video. Noting that he believes the only reason the Louisiana rap star is dropping new music is to compete with him. Noting that he is  “turned up,” and also has new music on the way.

Rap Star Was Recently Pardoned By President Donald Trump

Youngboy on the other hand, is trying his hardest to remain off the radar of the authorities. He was arrested in 2024 after a confession of having firearms as a convicted felon. Which violated the terms of his release. However, he received a conditional release in March 2025.

His conditional release is now no longer a concern. Youngboy was pardoned by President Donald Trump in May, officially making him a free man.

Following his pardon, Youngboy expressed his gratitude toward President Trump.

“I want to thank President Trump for granting me a pardon and allowing me to keep building. As a man, as a father, and as an artist. This moment means a lot. It opens the door to a future I’ve worked hard for and I am fully prepared to step into this,” he said in a statement via Newsweek.
