The hip-hop world is anxiously waiting for October 3 — the date that will decide the fate of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. To bring things up to speed, Combs was facing a slew of charges, including trafficking and racketeering.
Diddy Planning For MSG Celebration After Release
Thankfully for Combs, he was acquitted of the trafficking and racketeering charges. As a guilty conviction would have earned him a hefty prison sentence. However, he was unable to evade the prostitution charges and could still face up to ten years in prison.
However, Diddy is already making plans as if he were a free man. According to his attorney, Marc Agnifilo, Combs already has a celebration planned at New York City’s Madison Square Garden once he is released from federal custody.
“He’s going to be back at Madison Square Garden. I guess being on stage, you know. And I said I’ll be there,” Agnifilo said during a recent appearance on CBS Mornings.
Agnifilo also said that Diddy won’t necessarily be performing at Madison Square Garden. Regardless, he notes that fans can expect:
“something exceptional and probably demanding and challenging,” from the celebration.
During the trial testimonies, several things were exposed about Diddy. From verbal and physical abuse to prostitution and beyond. The verdict was a shocker to many. And after facing life in prison on the racketeering charges, Agifilo says Diddy is reflecting on the “blessings that he’s been given,” and is ready to turn over a new leaf.
“He has reflected on the blessings that he’s been given, on the imperfections that I think he sees in himself,” he added. “I think he wants to get out of jail, reestablish a loving, present relationship with all of his seven children. He wants to take care of his mother.”
Diddy’s sentencing is set for October 3. Stay tuned for more updates.
