NLE Choppa doesn’t appear to be letting up on NBA Youngboy anytime soon. Fresh off the release of his new track K.O., the rap artist had a lot more to say concerning his beef with the New Orleans native.
NLE Choppa Reveals Origin Behind NBA Youngboy Beef
In a new interview with Rolling Stone, NLE Choppa addressed his issues with NBA Youngboy. Citing that in the past, things got very “personal” between them. This led to him dropping the diss record last month.
“In the past, it’s already been escalated. Personally, if I were to speak outside of what I’m ordered to do, we’ve already had issues. But I can’t say that these issues have zero reason as to why I made this record,” the rap artist explained.
“But some of the things that were said, and we had a conversation earlier about this, it’s more so can be viewed as personal. It can be viewed as like, ‘Oh yeah, I don’t f*ck with you. I don’t like you. This, that, whoop.’ But it’s more so speaking to something that’s controlling him. It’s speaking to what has possession of him, and I love him.”
However, despite dropping a scathing new diss track aimed at YB, Choppa insists that he still has “love” for the rap star. He also says that he would “love” to get in the studio with YB. But ultimately, the ball would be in his court.
“I would love to give that brother a hug,” Choppa added. “Would love to shake hands with that brother. I would love to make music with him personally, but how could I if he won’t? But do I have worries about things being personal outside of this? I feel he has bigger fish to fry. I’m just playing a small role in it by using my voice.”
Youngboy has not responded to Choppa’s comments.
