During his appearance on the Red Bull Cypher earlier this month, rap star YG appeared to aim at former Migos member Offset by using his past relationships as the main talking point.
Offset Claims He Pressed YG Over Cardi B, Saweetie Lyric
Many people expected the rap artist to hop in the booth to respond. But with nearly a week since his response, many fans assumed that YG’s shot had just fallen on deaf ears. But in the comments section of a recent social media post, Offset revealed that he pulled up in YG’s DMs to press him about the lyric.
“I dm the p***y too,” he said in response to a fan.
In the freestyle, YG name-dropped Offset’s estranged wife Cardi B and her new beau Steffon Diggs. As well as Offset’s rumored ex-girlfriend, Saweetie, with whom YG is currently in a relationship.
“Get yo tooth hit, telling all them lies. You n***** funny on the internet, you n***** Plies. The devil tried to break me, but I thrived. The opps tried to take me, but I survived & now all my b****** looking like dimes. And n***** roll outs looking like mines. Offset the rims so you know I’m doing fine. Stefon is digging in some s*** from behind. I’m really that gangsta you n***** rap about. I keep fire on me, I’m with the clap it out,” he raps.
Another rapper who has made light of the nasty divorce between Offset and Cardi B is Finess2Tymes. During a recent livestream, the artist referred to Diggs as “That n***a that hit Offset‘s b*tch,” (via Akademiks)
After catching wind of the Backend creator’s comments, Offset also pulled up on him. And demanded that he keep his name out of his mouth.
Meanwhile, Offset and Cardi are still in the process of finalizing their divorce. The drama surrounding them doesn’t appear to be ending anytime soon.
