Rap star Kanye West and Kim Kardashian were married for eight years before they ultimately divorced in 2022. The reality star noted that she endured much of the Grammy-winner’s antics during their marriage. But in the end, it was too much for her to endure. Which is why she ultimately decided to divorce him.
Kim Kardashian Says Kanye Isn’t in Her Life Anymore
The two celebs may no longer be involved romantically, but they will forever be connected by way of their three children — North, Saint, and Chicago.
However, during a recent episode of her reality show, The Kardashians, Kim noted that co-parenting has been more difficult to manage than she previously imagined. Due to a lack of communication on Kanye’s part.
“He’s never called me,” Kardashian said in a conversation with Scott Disick (via AllHipHop). “It’s really hard. I just can’t commit anymore. I think it’s for the best.”
Kardashian Talks Kanye’s Impact on Their Children
Kim’s comments stemmed from a conversation she had about a recent Prenuvo scan that revealed that she had a small aneurysm in her brain. She detailed how she felt that the aneurysm was adding to her stress level. But she still felt as though she needed to be strong for her three children.
“Sometimes I feel like losing my temper, but I can’t. I just can’t,” she said. “My job is to be strong for them.”
This is not the first time that Kim has detailed how Kanye’s behavior has impacted their children. During a recent appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Kim went into detail about the struggles of co-parenting with Ye. Noting that she wants Kanye to have a great relationship with her three children, but also has to set a boundary when it comes to knowing when to “protect” them from him.
“It’s not easy. I mean, I raise the kids full-time. They live with me,” she stated. “I welcome a great, healthy relationship with my kids and their dad. He knows that. I push for it all the time, but I also protect them when it’s time for that, and it goes in waves and phases. “I have the best memories and the best relationship with my dad. So I just welcome healthy relationships, but it is not easy.”
