One thing 50 Cent is never short on is confidence (or cockiness depending on who you ask). Fortunately, the stats keep giving him every reason to talk the talk.
The Queens-bred mogul has been crowned the most-streamed New York City rapper of 2025 for the third consecutive year, according to music analytics account Diverse Mentality. The outlet shared the update on December 30 after reviewing YouTube’s global streaming data.
True to form, Fif barely flinched at the news. “I thought we got over this guys, it is the way it is. LOL @bransoncognac,” he wrote on Instagram, brushing off the milestone like another day at the office.
Diverse Mentality emphasized just how rare the feat is, noting how 50 Cent hasn’t released a new solo album since 2014 yet continues to dominate. Based on YouTube’s 2025 numbers, his catalog pulled in a staggering 1.9 billion global views, putting him far ahead of his NYC peers.
The gap between first and second place was significant. Nicki Minaj followed at No. 2 with 1.22 billion views, while Cardi B landed third with 955 million. Jay-Z took fourth with 711 million, narrowly edging out 6ix9ine at 696 million.
The remainder of the top 10 included Pop Smoke, French Montana, The Notorious B.I.G., A$AP Rocky, and Lil Tecca.
Summing up the moment, Diverse Mentality didn’t sugarcoat the margins, writing that 50 “dominated the numbers — and by dominated we mean by a long distance from the other New York rappers.”
More than a yearly win, the distinction reinforces 50 Cent’s enduring grip on New York hip-hop, proving that decades in, his music still moves the culture.
