Nicki Minaj has opened up about her growing interest in politics during a recent appearance on the Katie Miller Podcast, revealing that a personal turning point sparked the shift.

While speaking on the show, Minaj explained that a series of events over the past few months pushed her to reconsider her role beyond music and entertainment. “Something happened a few months ago,” she said. “Sometimes people can push you so much that they push you all the way into your next calling.”

Though she didn’t go into specific details, the rap superstar suggested that mounting pressure and criticism played a role in motivating her to engage more directly with political conversations. The comments hint at a possible new chapter for Minaj, who has increasingly used her platform to speak on social issues and public policy.

Her remarks have since sparked conversation online, with fans and critics debating what a deeper political presence from the influential artist could look like moving forward.
