Lil Uzi is back in album mode. In a new interview with Dazed, the Eternal Atak creator confirmed that they indeed have a project coming in 2026.
Uzi Confirms New Album Coming in 2026
As for what fans can expect from the new project, Uzi says that they want to “change the scene” with their upcoming project.
But even though Uzi wants to “change the scene” with the new project, they don’t feel any added pressure to drop a new album.
“I don’t feel pressure, bro. I’m gonna tell you right now,” Uzi said. “Everybody who doesn’t pay attention to me they’ve got their life going on. Everybody who pays attention to me [too much], it’s somehow coded that I’m better than you. They’re trying to make it like we’re supposed to drop one album a year.
Uzi has been in a relationship with former City Girls rapper JT since 2019. With the two being rap artists in the game, Uzi says that their girlfriend often wants to hear the music they’ve been working on before it’s released to the general public. Which Uzi sometimes can be nerve-racking. But it’s all in good fun.
“Let’s just say we’re going to dinner, and it’s like, who’s going to come on the aux? She be like, ‘Put on some music, I wanna hear what you been working on,’ and I be nervous,” they said. “I just be like, ‘Bro, why you always wanna hear my music? Play your own music!’ And then we’ll go to dinner, chill out, and talk about things we can change in each other’s lives and stuff. I’m bipping, though. I’m out here living my days at a time. But I’m very JT-coded.”
Uzi has not confirmed a release date for their next album. But it sounds like it’s in the works. Stay locked for more updates.
