LaRussell has found himself in hot water after his comments during a recent live performance.
LaRussell Under Fire After Recent Performance
During a performance earlier this month, the West Coast artist previewed a song with some interesting lyrics.
During the song, he refers to United States President Donald Trump, convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, and Nazi leader Adolf Hitler as “heaven sent.”

MY ENGINEER TOLD ME I PROBABLY SHOULDN'T PUT THIS OUT…

THAT'S EXACTLY WHY I PUT THIS OUT 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/dQ2tsQ2NvG
Of course, the clip quickly went viral on social media, and LaRussell found himself in hot water.
“Your engineer was really the heaven-sent one. The rest not really,” one person said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“I really try not to hate on this n***a, but my f*****g God…calling pedos heaven sent is f*****g bizarre. You are humanizing pedophiles and dictators,” a second user chimed in.
“I’m an actual fan, but this isn’t it. Not because you’re wrong but because you’re not actually expressing anything other than a very surface-level observation,” a third user said.
LaRussell prefaces the song by saying that when he sent the track off to his engineer to be mixed, they advised against it. Due to the controversial lyrics. But he says he still felt it was his duty as an artist to release the song. Because part of his responsibility as an artist is “saying things that other people are scared to.”
He also feels that his message is being taken out of context.
“What do y’all think I’m saying in this song? Is it the truth that’s bothersome, or is it what YOU think I’m saying? I’m saying every human was made by God. Even the evil ones. Even the n****s going to hell alongside some of y’all uncles, daddies, and favorite rappers,” he wrote on social media.
