50 Cent’s next documentary has reportedly found a new home. The rapper and entertainment mogul took to his social media accounts to announce the news on Wednesday.
What Did 50 Cent Say About His Documentary?
The Grammy-winning rapper posted a graphic claiming streaming giant Hulu had won an “intense bidding war” for the project.
“HULU wins in a bidding war against STARZ, NETFLIX, and APPLE for my new doc,” 50 Cent posted. Let’s go GLG. GreenLightGang.”
The news comes after the success of his Sean Combs: The Reckoning docuseries for Netflix. He’s also currently in production with A&E on a new miniseries called Gang Wars, which explores infamous American gang rivalries through unprecedented access and untold stories, per Rolling Stone.
What Is The Documentary About?
There are no details about the documentary 50 Cent plans to develop. However, speculation has begun that his rumored surviving Tiny & T.I. style docuseries could have found a home.
In a now deleted Instagram post, 50 Cent addressed the rumors about his interest in the project. “Remember how quiet I got before the Diddy doc,” 50 Cent wrote in his caption. “Dame thought I wasn’t coming. I hope this doesn’t mess up your promo tour they’re gonna ask about your 20 sexual assault cases. You might want to talk to a crisis PR person.”
50 Cent and T.I. have a longstanding beef, with the latest event coming when 50 Cent posted unflattering photos of T.I.’s wife Tiny Harris. Harris addressed the controversy in an interview with the Breakfast Club.
“He should have kept the beef with the man he was dealing with,” Harris said. “You’re a man dealing with a man, you ain’t got nothing to do with me. I don’t got nothing to do with this. Who goes after the woman? That’s crazy. You should be dealing with the man. That’s y’all beef, right?”
