Cardi B and Meek have collaborated in the past. The Bronx femcee was featured on Meek’s record On Me off of his 2018 project, Championships.
But his appearance sparked conversation on social media. Especially because he famously dated Cardi’s top nemesis, Nicki Minaj, from 2016 to 2018.
“It’s so embarrassing how cardi is always on Nicki’s sloppy seconds,” one Barb wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Now when Nicki collabs with Offset or pops out with Steffon’s other baby mammas, I don’t wanna hear s**t,” a second user added.
“This is really embarrassing, all she does is find Nicki opps,” a third person chimed in.
This could be a major comeback year for the Dreams and Nightmares creator.
During a red carpet interview at the Fanatics Super Bowl Party in February, Meek confirmed that he is now fully independent. And without the constraint of a major label, he says he plans to drop “three or four” projects in 2026.
“I’m supposed to be dropping three or four projects this year,” he said. “I’m independent. That’s why I went independent. So we could seize the game and move faster than big corporations. We can do it how we want.”
