An Atlanta judge has denied bond for a 19-year-old man accused of killing the uncle of Big Boi in a 2025 road rage incident.
Jabyrion Crumbley will remain in custody after a Fulton County Superior Court judge ruled against granting bond in connection to the June 16, 2025, shooting death of 62-year-old Remoin Patton, Sr. Patton, who was Big Boi’s uncle, was fatally shot during an altercation on Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard NW.
According to authorities, the incident began as a verbal dispute between drivers while Patton was attempting to make a turn. The confrontation escalated, leading to gunfire. Patton was struck and later crashed his vehicle into a vacant home.
Crumbley is facing multiple charges, including murder, but claims he acted in self-defense. However, officials have not disclosed what evidence was presented during the bond hearing or the specific details that led to the judge’s decision.
In a related development, Crumbley’s mother, Janisha Crumbley, also appeared in court. She faces charges of hindering apprehension after allegedly tampering with her electronic monitoring device.
Both Jabyrion and Janisha Crumbley are scheduled to return to court on June 29 as the case continues to unfold.
