Hip-Hop legend DMX has a history of battling substance abuse and it has been learned that he has check himself into rehab for help. DMX has recently cancelled three of his concerns and as a result has checked himself into a Southern California treatment center. Sources at TMZ were told that X went voluntarily, but his manager, Pat Gallo, and ex-wife, Tashera Simmons, had encouraged the move.
DMX’s recent Ruff Ryders Reunion concert in Brooklyn raised many concerns to DMX fans about his health. Sources says that DMX was drinking heavily before that concert. X’s manager Gallo released a statement to the fans of the postponed concerts stating: “It is important right now that he take some time off to focus on his health so that he can be a better father, friend and entertainer. We are eternally grateful for the outpouring of concern and support that has poured in. We ask that you please keep X in your prayers as he embraces your support.”
