Drake is already shaking up the rap industry ahead of the release of his ninth studio album, Iceman.
Charlamagne Blasts Drake For Being a ‘Sore Loser’
On Wednesday (May 13), one of the tracks from Drake’s forthcoming project surfaced online. And he addresses several of his opponents on the track. Including longtime nemesis, Kendrick Lamar. Many people have applauded Drake for continuing to go at Lamar despite losing the 2024 rap feud. But radio host Charlamagne the God feels differently about the leaked track.
During the Thursday (May 14) episode of Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club, Charlamagne said that Drake’s new track only makes him look like a “sore loser.”
“This is what I feel: I hope this isn’t what ICEMAN is about, because if it is, I’m going to assume we’re calling Drake ICEMAN because he’s frozen in time,” Charlamagne said. “Okay, it’s like, bruh, get over that L you took to Kendrick already, because this record just continues the conversation that Drake is the biggest sore loser rap has ever seen.”
Charlamagne also asserted that if Drake had more to say about the feud, he should have done so in 2024 when he and Lamar were still actively engaged. He also pointed out that it was Drake who “waved the white flag” after he dropped The Heart Part 6.
“If he had more to say, he didn’t have to wave the white flag two years ago,” Charlamagne added. “He’s the one who put out ‘The Heart Pt. 6.’ and waved the white flag if he had more to say.”
At the time of writing, Drake has not responded to Charlamagne’s comments.
