August Alsina appears to still be struggling to digest the comments that Young Thug made during his viral interview on Big Bank’s podcast back in 2025.
Among the plethora of topics that Thug touched on was homosexuality. And although the rap star prefaced his comments by saying that he doesn’t have anything against gay people, he also said that becoming gay is “breaking a rule from your manhood.
“I feel like you break a rule from your manhood, once you rat or once you turn gay,” he said. “If I look at you, if I meet you and you’re gay, it’s like, ‘Okay.’ If I meet you and you portray yourself as a man and you’re not gay, I don’t have anything against gay people. You know what I’m saying? If you’re portraying a certain thing… If I look at you like a man and we f*cking b*tches together, girls together, and we’re doing certain sh*t together, I’m looking at you in a man light. Then I find out you’re gay, it ain’t really anything you can say to me. I’mma just look at you like you broke a man code.”
Alsina Blasts Young Thug Over Past Comments About Gay People
Nearly a year removed from Thug’s interview, Alsina weighed in on the rap star’s comments. And blasted him over his “stupid” remarks.
“That comment, I took personally,” Alsina said in a clip caught by TheShadeRoom on Instagram. “It’s time to start calling out stupid. The older I get, the less I’m into convincing that they’re no more. Your life will show you that… At the same time, I am into simply saying, ‘That’s stupid. That’s a dumb ass take. That’s dumb.'”
It’s unclear what triggered Alsina to weigh in on Thug’s comments now. But he obviously feels a way about his remarks.
At the time of writing, Young Thug has not issued a response.
