Druski became the youngest host ever of the BET Awards when he hosted the event on Sunday (June 28). And amid the remarkable achievement, the viral personality has come under heavy backlash. Courtesy of Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) President, Terrence “Punch” Henderson.
Punch Blast Druski For ‘Weird’ Behavior During BET Awards
During the awards ceremony, TDE artist Doechii and SZA won the BET HER award for their collaboration, Girl Get Up. The award is the top honor for the best female collaboration of the year. Apparently, the two artists were taking too long with their speeches. So Druski appeared to employ a saxophonist to wrap up their stage time.
The gesture clearly rubbed Punch the wrong way. He took to social media to call out Druski and BET.
“This n***a Druski weird for that sax stunt,” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Sunday night.
In another post, he added: “BET or whoever is responsible. Weirdo behavior.”

However, despite the loud saxophones, Doechii remained poised during her and SZA’s award speech. And had a message for all of her critics to conclude her stage time.
“I’m going to keep my time. I just want to say that new music is coming soon. And to all the haters that have something to say about me, you better be ready for me to pop back out. Because I’m coming out with a new single, and it’s about to kill everybody, wassup! Don’t ever play with me,” she exclaimed.
At the time of writing, Druski has not responded to the remarks made by Punch.
