Yung Miami’s hit record Spend Dat has taken the hip-hop industry by storm. And she wants one of the biggest hitmakers in the industry to appear on a potential remix — Drake.
Yung Miami Says She Wants Drake on ‘Spend Dat’ Remix
Yung Miami was in attendance at the BET Awards on Sunday (June 28). And during a red carpet interview with Complex’s Jillian Superstar, she said Drake is who she would “really want” to appear on the remix.
“You gotta stay tuned for that, but I really want Drake,” Yung Miami shared. “Champagne Papi. You know we gotta call Drake. Iceman. I want Iceman!”
This isn’t the first time that the former City Girls star has tried to tap Drake for one of her records. However, her previous attempt was unsuccessful.
During a recent appearance on Cam Newton’s Funky Friday, Caresha revealed that she sent a direct message to Drake. Requesting him to do a feature verse for her 2025 record, Take Me To Chanel. But he never responded to her message and left her on hold.
However, it doesn’t appear to be any sour feelings between Drake and the City Girls star. She understood that at the time, Drizzy was still dealing with the fallout from his 2024 feud with Kendrick Lamar.
“I get it, I understand cos it’s just like—I gotta focus on me rn cos these people tryna take me out,” she said in a clip caught by not_D4VD on X.
Now that Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s feud is in the past, it will be interesting to see if Drake gives her the nod.
This week, the record hit a new peak. Creeping into the number 25 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. If Drake were to appear on the remix, it could easily appear in the top 10.
