It’s all love between Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) and Lupe Fiasco — even after his recent comments about Kendrick Lamar.
TDE President Punch Describes Recent Conversation With Lupe
In a social media post on Thursday (July 2), TDE President Terrence “Punch” Henderson revealed that he had a recent conversation with Lupe. And according to Punch, he and the Food & Liquor creator were able to have a civil conversation.
“Just had a great conversation with Lupe. It’s all love and respect on both ends. We spoke about context, misunderstandings, misinterpretations and intentions,” Punch wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Thursday.
He also insisted that there is “no smoke” between the two of them.
“Spoke about everything from The Monster Freestyle and the 2010 live stream up until his recent visits on various podcasts. It’s no smoke lol, just lighthearted, friendly Hip Hop conversation. Everyone relax. RespecttheARtFOrM,” he concluded.

The conversation the two of them have comes after Lupe made some controversial comments about Lamar. During a recent stream, the rapper said that there are “hundreds” of rappers better than Kendrick.
“I said there are hundreds [of better rappers than Kendrick] and we can name them,” Lupe said. “We can start from Rosenberg Raw all the way to muthaf***** B Magic, you wanna just start listing n*****. Let’s see how far that list gets before we start naming one n**** with a record deal as the better rapper.
Even though Punch said, there doesn’t appear to be any sour feelings between him and Lupe. It will be interesting to see if Lamar decides to get in the booth and respond.
