Disgraced music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs could be coming home even sooner than expected. Thanks to the United States President, Donald Trump.
Trump Considering Clemency For Diddy
The Bad Boy Records founder is among several people for whom Donald Trump is considering clemency. According to a recent CBS report.
Diddy was swept up by the feds in September 2024. When he was initially arrested, he was facing racketeering and trafficking charges in addition to the prostitution charges. Diddy was not convicted of the more serious charges of racketeering and trafficking. Fortunately for him, if he were, he likely would have spent the rest of his life in prison.
However, the prostitution charge was the one he was unable to evade. And in October, he was sentenced to 50 months behind bars for his crimes. Diddy and his team have made multiple attempts to get him released. But as it currently stands, the music mogul will be released in February 2028.
Even if he doesn’t receive a pardon, Diddy has already had a significant amount of time sliced off of his sentence. Most recently, the music mogul’s sentence was reduced by roughly two months. He was previously slated to be released on April 25, 2028. However, according to a June 16 report from USA Today, that date has now been moved up to February 23, 2028. His sentence has been reduced by four months in total, as he was initially slated to be released in June of that same year.
With a potential pardon on the horizon, it will be interesting to see when Combs will be a free man again.
