Last night, The Game dropped The Documentary 3 and it’s caused quite a bit of controversy. The biggest talking point came when fans noticed the Compton rapper references Kendrick Lamar, who he’s allegedly in a beef with, several times.
On “LA Monster” he speaks on Kendrick and his album, GNX.
“I ain’t got no problem with the boogeyman/And he ain’t got a problem with me/’Cuz I’ma LA Monster. I might drive the Rose today/the GNX scare the hoes away/cuz I’ma LA Monster.”
In one breath, he says there’s no issue with Kendrick, but then claims GNX is hoe scaring music…that seems oddly contradictory.
Then, on “The Pen,” he references his cold beef with 50 Cent, yet still drops Kendrick’s name.
“Like Dr Dre on the beat/Yeah I’m back with that sound/They say I’m beefing with Kendrick/How the f*** do that sound. Cuz I’m feeling like 50 when he made back down. They say 50 made me, tell him make me again/I kick myself out the group and make them hate me again.”
Finally, on “Geezus” he pledges loyalty to Drake and mentions GNX yet again.
“I say the Drake the homie, y’all say it’s treason/Want me to pick sides while y’all dickride/When you’re from the westside you ain’t gotta pick sides. I draw led, erase you n****s/Put that on God It’s me against all odds/I’ll pop the steering column on the GNX/And wait for n****s.“
The Game Responds
On a post by a fan who claimed Game dissed Kendrick on his Drake collab, Game responded with firm denial.
“Ain’t diss nobody on that song loud fa nuthin ahhhh,” Game posted.
Other fans didn’t agree.
“Game disses be like “I got a DOT on any n**** cruisin in a GNX. I got love for lil bro I’d never diss him y’all are sniffing meth. If the Boogeyman want smoke he gon end up next. K. Dot my lil n****, you f*** with him and I break your neck. F*** Kendrick,” one user posted.
“The game really said ‘The GNX be scaring the hoes’ if that ain’t a diss man idk what it is,” another user posted.
