A Dallas County jury has found Kewon White guilty of capital murder in connection with the 2020 killing of Dallas rapper MO3.
MO3, whose real name was Melvin Noble, was fatally shot during an ambush on Interstate 35 in Dallas. After more than a week of testimony, jurors returned a guilty verdict against White, marking a major development in a case that has remained in the spotlight for years.
Prosecutors have alleged that Dallas rapper Yella Beezy, whose real name is Markies Conway, hired White to carry out the killing as part of a long-running feud. Conway has pleaded not guilty to a capital murder charge and has denied any involvement in MO3’s death.
A third defendant, Devin Brown, is also facing a capital murder charge in connection with the case. White was already serving prison time on an unrelated firearms conviction prior to the verdict.
MO3’s mother was reportedly present in court as the verdict was announced. With White now convicted, attention will turn to the upcoming proceedings involving Conway and Brown as prosecutors continue pursuing their case over the rapper’s 2020 killing.
