Drake has had a history of “borrowing ideas.” It’s a grey area that he’s skated for years. But now, someone is suing Drake for his tactics.

Aviel Hirschfield, a Grammy-winning producer who goes by GoodbyeCalev, has accused Drake of ripping the lyrics, production, cadence and song elements of a song he made. That song, which Hirschfield claims he recorded January 2026, sounds exactly like the chorus to “Janice STFU.” And we don’t mean, sounds like, because the alleged recording that leaked of Hirschfield’s song, is legitimately, exactly the chorus to “Janice STFU.”
In addition to the audio, a commenter found a screenshot of a twitch stream where someone else pointed out that Hirschfield made the song.
During Professor Skye’s Live Review of Iceman, a commenter name dropped Hirschfield.
“If you agree “Janice STFU” is a banger, look up GoodbyeCalev, he constructed everything except the raps.”

Past Drake Controversies
Several artists have accused Drake of stealing their songs. The most notable came when DRAM noticed that his viral hit “Cha Cha,” sounded eerily similar to Drake’s “Hotline Bling,” which came out after DRAM’s original.
UK rapper SunnyBoyFitz posted a now unlisted Instagram reel where he played his track back to back with Drake’s “BBW.” The songs each use a classic sample from singer Denise Belfon. But the real controversy lies with the structure, arrangement, and bassline, as both songs have distorted 808s and a similar use to the sample.
“I dont know am i trippin? #drake #newdrake,” SunnyBoyFitz posted.
Then, there was the case of 1900 Rugrat, who called out the 6God for allegedly biting his intro track to use for “Little Birdie.” In a TikTok video, Rugrat explained the situation.
“Drake, you got me f***** up bro,” Rugrat said. “When I made the intro to my first album a year and a half ago, Drake was hitting me up at the time and wanted to hear music. So i sent 10 songs to him, but they was all finna be on my album. I didn’t want nobody to steal my s***.”
Rugrat backed up his claims with alleged screenshots between him and Drake.
