The Drake hype is real. After his Iceman stream finished, it was revealed that he was dropping not one, but three albums. The volume of music combined with the hype appears to have affected a certain streaming giant.
What Streamer Did Drake Crash?
According to several sources and screenshots, fans are having issues playing Drake’s new music on Spotify. The streaming kingpin has crashed several times due to the user bandwidth generated by the album. Apple Music also has reportedly gone down for several users trying to listen to the albums.
The albums come after his livestream generated hundreds of thousands of views on his YouTube channel, but did not crash YouTube.
Fans were up in arms and impressed over the outage.
“Drake dropped three albums and Spotify said ‘I’m tired, boss,'” one user posted. “The servers didn’t crash. They surrendered. That’s what happens when one man carries the entire streaming economy on his back. Fix the app. Or don’t. We’ll wait. He’s not stopping.”
“Drake crashed Apple Music and Spotify after dropping Iceman, Maid of Honor and Habibti Kendrick could never have this type of influence,” another user posted.
“@Spotify get yall s*** together,” another user posted.
