The legal drama between Gucci Mane and Pooh Shiesty is a saga that has taken the hip-hop industry by storm. And the feds released another key piece of evidence in the upcoming trial.
To bring things up to speed, the feds believe that the rap star led several men on an excursion from Memphis to Dallas to confront Gucci Mane. Shiesty led Gucci to believe that they were having a one-on-one meeting at his studio in Dallas. To amicably resolve a contract dispute and release him from his record deal with 1017 Brick Squad. But when Gucci declined, the other men blitzed him. And coerced the rapper to sign the documentation, releasing him from his deal.
Feds Release Footage Of Shiesty Allegedly Robbing Gucci Mane
On Thursday (June 25), the feds released surveillance footage of the alleged crime. In the still images of the surveillance footage, you can see Shiesty dressed in all black to the right and another man who is armed. In between them is a person dressed in all yellow. The feds blurred out the person’s face, but they have identified the individual as “R.D.,” the same initials as Gucci Mane’s birth name, Radric Davis. The person also has a similar build and skin tone to Gucci.

After Shiesty’s trial date was pushed back until February 2027, he campaigned to be released on bail until the start of the trial. But in their filing, prosecutors advised against that. They asserted that if the rapper was let out on bond, he would be a danger to his community.
“No condition of release can protect the community or witnesses against Williams Jr. from the danger he poses,” prosecutors wrote in the filing obtained by Fox13 Memphis. “The danger here is concrete. Williams Jr. himself has shot at least two people. He leads a Memphis street gang of roughly 100 members. He is a man who can summon an armed entourage at will.”
If convicted, Shiesty could spend the rest of his life in prison.
