The Chicago rapper shared an update with fans via his Instagram Stories on April 7, posting a photo of himself lying in a hospital bed. Along with the image, Herbo issued a public service announcement urging everyone to prioritize their health amid a rise in flu cases.
“Y’all be safe out here bro, this new flu strand ain’t no joke,” he wrote.
While he didn’t share specific details about the symptoms that led to his hospitalization, Herbo’s warning comes during what the CDC is calling one of the deadliest flu seasons in over a decade. The U.S. is currently experiencing its worst flu outbreak in 15 years, with an estimated 25,000 deaths reported over the winter months — including more than 100 children.
Herbo’s health update comes just days after the release of his latest project, Greatest Rapper Alive. The 20-track album dropped on Friday, April 4, through his exclusive app and across streaming platforms. This follows his Welcome To Fazoland (Anniversary Edition), which he released a few months earlier.
