J. Cole decided to wipe his entire Instagram page clear on Monday morning, and add the color purple to his main image, alluding to the fact that a new album might be on the way. Cole also tweeted out the words “its time” on Monday, before announcing he was doing a free show in NYC Monday night for the fans. At Monday night’s concert J Cole performed his entire new album, and announced the title to it K.O.D.
RapRadar’s Bdot Miller, was in attendance at Monday’s free show, K.O.D stands for three different acronyms “Kidz On Drugz, King Overdose, & Kill Our Demonz.”
B. Dot tweeted the title out Monday evening, adding that Cole recorded the project in “two weeks” and that he played the entire album for fans at the show Monday night, which he believed to be about 12 songs in total. B. Dot also said he heard Cole experimenting with his flow more on this project as well.
Shortly after B.Dot revealed this info, J. Cole himself hopped on Twitter and confirmed that K.O.D is dropping this FRIDAY, 4/20.
Look forward to it.
