Of course, the updated prison photo caught a lot of attention and went viral on social media.
“We’re about to get the greatest first day out tape ever, man,” one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“The back of that n***a head smooth as s**t, he was guaranteed to be on some bs lol,” a second user joked.
“Something about this picture is screaming ‘keep him,'” a third user chimed in.
Another reason that the updated prison photo caught the attention of users is that rumors have begun to circulate that the rapper could be released from prison soon.
In a video shared on social media, Tay-K’s sister, Kayla Beverly, shared a video. She appeared to be on the phone with the rapper’s attorney. While the video does not disclose what was said during the phone call, it was enough to give her hope. Because after she disconnects the call, she turns to a woman, presumed to be Tay-K’s mother, and says, “Your son is coming home.”
She captions the post: “I’ve been holding so much in, but just know those prayers have been getting answered fr thank you God… my brother’s story is not over #freetayk.”
Tay-K is currently serving two concurrent sentences for two murders.
In July 2019, he was convicted of the murder of Ethan Walker. In a 2016 botched home invasion and robbery. The rapper was sentenced to 55 years in prison.
Last April, he was convicted of the murder of photographer Mark Anthony Saldivar. Which occurred during a robbery in San Antonio. He was sentenced to an additional 80 years in prison.
He is scheduled to be released from prison in August 2099.
