Wednesday July 5, 2017 Baton Rouge Police arrested locate Hip-Hop artist Webbie in an alleged domestic abuse situation.
Authorities say that Webbie and his entourage held Webbie’s girlfriend against her will at a Comfort Inn room for two hours.
The victim told authorities that Webbie physically abused her with a closed fist, an open hand, and a belt. According to BATON ROUGE, La (LOCAL 33) (Fox 44) the victim told authorities that at one point, Webbie held her on the ground by pushing his knees into her throat, cutting off airflow for seconds at a time.
The victim told authorities that Webbie had consumed cocaine and marijuana for two straight days with no sleep and took her cellphone.
Authorities say they noticed visible welps on the victim’s thighs and back several inches long, multiple hematomas on the victim’s head, along with many other abrasions, lacerations and bruising consistent with abuse.
Webbie was booked into jail on charges of domestic abuse by strangulation, false imprisonment, second-degree battery, theft, and simple criminal damage to property.
