Lil Durk is still fighting to get out on bond—and this time, he’s going after the credibility of a key federal informant at the center of the case against him.

According to his attorney, Drew Findling, the government keeps leaning on allegations from an old federal case in Illinois—one that never actually led to charges against Durk.
“It’s been over three years since the alleged incident, and Durk has never been charged,” Findling said. “The government’s own records show that most of these claims come from ‘CHS 1,’ a paid FBI informant with a criminal past and ties to gang activity.”
This legal push comes right after Durk tried to get the case dismissed altogether, following a big win where the court ruled lyrics from his song Wonderful Wayne & Jackie Boy couldn’t be used as evidence.
For those just catching up: Lil Durk has been locked up since October 2024. He’s facing serious federal charges tied to an alleged murder-for-hire plot against rival rapper Quando Rondo. Prosecutors claim Durk sent six men to carry out the hit, which ended in the fatal shooting of Rondo’s cousin, Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson, at a Los Angeles gas station.
Durk’s next shot at freedom is riding on this bond request. If the judge says no, he’ll be sitting in jail until his trial kicks off on October 14, 2025.
