Cam’ron has escalated his feud with actor Omar Gooding, revealing on Instagram that he pranked the actor by hiring him for a fake movie.
“I booked the n—a to do a movie that’s never coming out like three weeks ago,” Cam told his followers. “Omar, that film you flew to Miami for? It ain’t real. I was there laughing at you behind the scenes. And now you’re coming on Revolt tonight because you signed the paperwork. I can do whatever I want with the footage.”
Cam ended the clip by joking that he wanted to hire Gooding for a baby shower and announced a new approach to dealing with rivals: Book My Opps.
“Now do another record; I’ma book you for my goddaughter’s baby shower in October,” he said. “I’ll pay you for that too, because what I’m gonna start doing is paying n—as just to laugh at them. It cost me $3,500 to book you — hotel, flight, everything. I spend $12–13K to go to an NBA game; I’d rather laugh at you for $3,500.”
Gooding quickly fired back with his own Instagram video, thanking Cam for the free trip to Miami and promising a “diabolical” diss track in response. “Keep booking, I’ma keep spending it,” he said before ending his post.
Their back-and-forth dates to December 2024, when Cam’ron, during an episode of Talk With Flee, mistakenly referred to Omar as “Omar Gooding Jr.” while speaking with 50 Cent about Black actors struggling to find steady work without help from producers like 50.
“No disrespect to nobody,” Cam told the Queens rapper and filmmaker. “Like Ving Rhames, or Omar Gooding Jr., y’all n—as sitting around — I would have saved my money and shot my own sh– by now — but the Black actor has to wait for a 50 Cent or someone like you to put them in something.”
