The Game is one of the more controversial figures in the history of hip-hop. And because of his controversial nature, Game has been involved in several high-profile rap beefs.

The Game had feuded with some of the biggest stars in the industry. Lil Durk, Meek Mill, and Rick Ross, to name a few. But his most notable feud was with the man who introduced him to the rap industry, 50 Cent.

The Game Likens His & 50 Cent’s Beef to Tupac & Biggie

During a recent interview with The Cruz Show on Real 92.3 L.A., the rap artist likened his and 50 Cent’s beef to Tupac and Biggie’s. Noting he thought it would end with one of them being killed.

“And I also thought, since Biggie and ‘Pac got murdered, that when it’s on, it’s on,” the rap star said of him and 50’s Beef via No Jumper on Instagram. “Because two of my favorites died beefing. So it’s like, when and 50 were going through it, I thought either he gon to kill me or I’m going to kill him. So I needed to kill him first, you know what I’m saying? And that was the mind state of me in my 20s, man.”

Rap Star Revisits ‘Iconic’ Diss Track

50 and Game’s feud was highlighted by Game’s diss track, 300 Bars and Running, where he targeted 50 and multiple other people on the G-Unit label.

During the interview, he also revisited his “iconic” diss track.

“‘300 Bars,’ that was crazy, man, that was iconic,” The Game added. “It was fueled by anger, though. That was one take, straight through. I wanted to kill 50 at that time, man. And it’s just crazy what hip-hop, gangster rap, did. At that time, I think I might have been 24 years old [he was 25], misguided, fresh out of Compton still, just a few years. I just felt like he disrespected me. Like, I came into hip-hop thinking that hip-hop was 100 percent real and all the way through.”

The beef between 50 Cent and The Game began in the early 2000s. The catalyst of their feud was The Game refusing to participate in 50 Cent’s other beefs, particularly with Nas. This led to 50 Cent questioning The Game’s loyalty and ultimately kicking the rap star out of G-Unit. The conflict escalated with diss tracks, public insults, and a shooting outside the Hot 97 radio station that was allegedly linked to the feud.
