50 Cent has feuded with everyone from pop stars to politicians. Acting star Marlon Wayans was recently the subject of an attack by the Power Creator.
Marlon Wayans Reveals How His Family Squashed 50 Cent Beef
The dust between Wayans and 50 has settled down. And that is due in large part to Marlon’s family. During a recent interview with KTLA, he revealed that his brothers encouraged him to squash the whole thing via a family group chat.
Marlon and 50 Cent were at odds over the rap star’s new Netflix documentary Sean Combs: The Reckoning. A film that explores the years of abuse and crime committed by the Bad Boy Records founder.
Following the film’s release, Marlon cautioned 50 Cent over karma that could come as a result of the documentary. Noting that there are “personal” issues between 50 and Diddy and that he used his federal trial as an opportunity to “kick a man when he’s down.”
However, Wayans said that amid his and 50’s feud, he had to look himself in the mirror and realized that he was being a hypocrite. He also admitted that he hasn’t even seen the film.
“They asked me about the documentary. I didn’t see it. They asked me about it, and I just gave my opinion,” Wayans said. “I don’t think brothers need to be quarreling in public like that. And then what did I get into? A public quarrel with a brother. And I just think it was bad for the culture. So I kind of backed out.”
The entire feud appears to be water under the bridge for both parties. In a December 18 social media post, 50 reposted the clip of Wayans talking about their feud and appears to be leaving it all in the past.
“I’m glad he didn’t make me have to act like I don’t want to see Scary Movie 6. We’re Good,” he captioned the post.
