As one of the greatest rappers of all time, rap star Lil Wayne has engaged in his fair share of feuds over the years. But his latest beef with Chicago Bears star Caleb Williams is one that not many people saw coming.
Caleb Williams Claps Back at Lil Wayne
The NFL playoffs kicked off with Wild Card Weekend this past Saturday (January 10). And Williams and the Bears concluded Saturday’s slate of games with a win over Wayne’s team, the Green Bay Packers. Following the loss, Weezy was clearly feeling bitter about Williams eliminating his team from the postseason. So he aimed at him in a scathing social media post.
“We just lost a playoff game to a nigga with purple nails, we fkn suk bear azz! Bare ass!!! We don’t deserve to be in the playoffs. Straight like that,” the rap star wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, after the game.
It did not take Williams long to catch wind of the comments made by the Louisiana native. And he promptly clapped back at Weezy on social media. Using the Superman and snowflake emojis

Following Williams’ response, many of his fans on social media called out Lil Wayne for being a hypocrite. Noting that he has also made some flamboyant fashion choices in the past.
“I know skinny pants and some vans ain’t talking,” one fan wrote in the comments section of the post.
“Damn, Wayne, I love you, but it’s time to get off the internet after this one. Bear down,” another user added.
“We win, weezy! Don’t hate the nails,” a third user chimed in.
After their win over the Packers, Williams and the Bears will face the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round of the playoffs. In just his second season in the NFL, Williams is already proving to be worth the hype.
