Victims of Ca$h Out are set to receive ongoing financial restitution tied directly to his past success in music, following a massive $40 million civil judgment against the Atlanta rapper.
According to court orders, the victims will be paid through residual checks generated from Ca$h Out’s breakout hit, “Cashing Out,” as well as proceeds from property and jewelry seized during the case. The ruling ensures that any future earnings connected to the song—including publishing and royalty income—will be redirected to the victims as part of the judgment.
The decision marks a rare but significant moment where a hip-hop artist’s catalog is directly used as a source of restitution in a civil case of this magnitude. While questions remain about how much of the $40 million can realistically be collected long-term, the court’s move guarantees that Ca$h Out will no longer profit from the record that helped launch his career.
Instead, the financial legacy of “Cashing Out” will now serve a very different purpose—providing continued compensation to those harmed by the rapper’s actions.
