Max B and French Montana have been busy promoting their newest project, Coke Wave 3.5. And during their rounds, they stopped by Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club. And during their pit stop, one of the things that Max B discussed was the alleged incident with Ja Rule toward the end of last year.
Max B Addresses Rumor He Beat up Ja Rule
Noted blogger, Tasha K, claimed that Max B was in an altercation with rap artist Ja Rule at Monica and Brandy’s The Boy is Mine tour over the summer. An incident that resulted in Ja allegedly being knocked out backstage. However, during his interview, the former Byrd Gang rapper stated that it is not the case. In fact, Max says that when he heard the rumor, he was just as shocked as everyone else.
“I was like, ‘I love Ja Rule. What the hell are y’all talking about?” Max explained. “Like Ja Rule, my n***a like you know what I’m saying? So, no. Shout out to Ja Rule.”
Immediately following the incident, Ja took to social media to call out the blogger for spreading what he calls a false story.
“Tasha, why are you lying to these good ppl. Yes, some b*tch a*s n****s tried to jump me. No, it wasn’t at Sei less, and I’m chilling, smoking a joint, watching SVP with not a scratch on me,” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Max B was recently released from prison back in November. He served 16 years in prison after being convicted of aggravated manslaughter in 2009. After spending nearly two decades in prison, the Harlem rapper is just trying to keep his nose clean.
“My parole officer called me,” Max B revealed. “She said, ‘Where were you last night?’ I’m like, ‘I was at the concert.’ She was like, ‘Did y’all beat up Ja Rule?’ I said, ‘Absolutely not.’ I love Ja Rule. No way.”
