With the tension between Drake and Kendrick Lamar very much alive, fans had a lot to say about the link-up on social media.
“Cole picked a side & left Drake. Iceman is going to be filled with crybaby music,” one person wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“The crazy thing about this photo is, it was mostly Kendrick stans talking shit about Cole,” a second user added.
“Lost respect for Cole again! This man went from dissing Kenny to kicking it with TDE,” a third user chimed in.
If you remember, Cole was the catalyst of the hip-hop civil war between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. Cole’s verse about him, Drake, and Kendrick being hip-hop’s self-proclaimed “big three,” prompted Kendrick to say it was just “big me” on Metro Boomin’s track “Like That.”
Cole hit back with a flurry of jabs on “7 Minute Drill,” but ultimately decided that the rap beef wasn’t for him and bowed out of the feud. Many people felt Drake took exception to.
Those rumors only amplified when Cole recently revealed that he didn’t feel like he would be featured on Drake’s upcoming project, Iceman.
