Rap artist Snoop Dogg has embarked on his newest side quest. And it will honor one of hip-hop’s fallen legends, Tupac Shakur.
Snoop Dogg Pays Homage to Tupac With New Wine
Per Billboard, Snoop Dogg’s wine company, Cali By Snoop, released the 2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted edition wine on Tuesday (March 10). A nod to the Pac and Snoop’s collaboration on Tupac’s fourth studio album, All Eyez on Me.
“It’s hard to believe it’s been 30 years since Pac and I got together to make ‘2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted.’ Nobody did it like us. And I can’t think of a better way to honor his legacy than with a drink,” said Snoop Dogg in a statement. “This wine is perfect for celebrating with loved ones. And I’m looking forward to the people pourin’ a little out with me for my friend.”
As part of the rollout for the new wine, Cali By Snoop dropped a video montage. Snoop reminisces on the times he shared with Pac. During their time as label mates on Death Row Records in the 1990s.
Ahead of the wine’s release, John Wardley, SVP of brand, innovation, and partnerships at Treasury Wine Estates, said the new drink is one that “honors Tupac and Snoop’s legacy with a truly unique wine.”
“It’s been an absolute privilege to work with Snoop Dogg and the Tupac Estate. To develop a wine celebrating this historic collaboration, and worthy of two of Hip Hop’s greatest Icons,” he said. “The Cali by Snoop range has always pushed the boundaries of traditional wine culture.
