The drama surrounding New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel and former New York Times reporter Diana Russini has taken social media by storm. And rapper Wale is the latest to chime in on the drama.
Wale Repost Old Diana Russini Tweet Amid Vrabel Drama
On Thursday (April 23), Wale reposted a November 2020 post from Russini. Where the famed NFL reporter recited the lyrics to his 2020 song Lions, Tigers & Bengals. Where he name-drops the former Tennessee Titans head coach, check it out below:
“Lions, Bengals, and Bears, I’m fighting demons in fear, I Titan up when it’s time, and Mike Vrabel ain’t here,” the post reads.

This, of course, led to a lot of reactions from users on social media.
“You think they had lotus flower bomb on the fun time playlist?” one user asked on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Lmao, she felt that Vrabel bar in her chest,” a second user chimed in.
“Even got one of my favorite Lyricists ever involved in this F*****Y,” a third user added.
Coach & Reporter Drama Explained
Earlier this month, photos surfaced of Vrabel and Russinin cozied up poolside at an Arizona hotel. This led to speculation that the two were romantically involved, despite being married to other people. Russini initially denied those rumors, but more information began to be released. Including a photo of the two of them kissing at a New York City bar back in 2020.
Russini has since resigned from her position as Senior NFL Insider for the New York Times. Vrabel, however, is still employed by the New England Patriots. And the organization has vowed to support him as he navigates through this saga. After he announced that he plans to receive counseling.
“The New England Patriots fully support Mike Vrabel’s decision to prioritize his family first, as well as his own well-being,” they said in a statement to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. “Mike has been open with us about his commitment to being the best version of himself for his family, this team, and our fans, and we respect the steps he is taking to follow through on that commitment.
