Dave Chappelle had fans in shock Sunday night after bringing out Kanye West during a packed set at The Comedy Store in West Hollywood.
Chappelle had just closed his set in a stacked evening hosted alongside Chris Rock, Shane Gillis and Louis C.K. before inviting Ye up for a quick surprise cameo.
The crowd erupted after Chappelle joked, “Kanye West has lost more money than I’ve ever made,” before. The quick appearance concluded after the two shared a moment and walked off together to loud applause.
The moment comes as Netflix Is A Joke Festival takes over L.A., bringing big names and surprise link-ups.
The bond between Ye and Chappelle runs deep, dating back to appearances on the latter’s show in the early 2000s and continuing through the years, including Chappelle showing support during the rapper’s personal struggles.
