Four men have officially been found guilty in the 2024 murder of Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio.
On Friday, Isaiah Chance, Sean Gathright, Rashad Murphy and Davion Murphy were all convicted of first-degree premeditated murder for the deadly shooting outside a Holiday Inn in Tampa. Prosecutors claimed the attack was tied to an ongoing Jacksonville gang feud and said the suspects used Foolio’s Instagram posts about his birthday celebrations to track his location.

During the trial, jurors were shown surveillance footage, cellphone data and shell casing evidence connecting the men to the shooting. Prosecutors also alleged Chance and his girlfriend, Alicia Andrews, followed Foolio and his crew around Tampa clubs before the ambush happened outside the hotel. Andrews was previously convicted of manslaughter in 2025 for her role in the case.
Authorities say Gathright and the Murphy brothers later opened fire on the rapper and members of his entourage.
After the verdict was read, State Attorney Suzy Lopez said the ruling brought “accountability and justice” for Foolio’s family.
The four men are now facing either life in prison or the death penalty, with the penalty phase set to begin Monday.
