Lil Tjay and Offset’s issues have been highly publicized. And Tjay addressed their problems during his appearance on Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club on Tuesday (May 13).
To bring things up to speed, Lil Tjay and Offset’s beef derives from a $10,000 gambling debt that remains unsettled. But during his appearance on the morning program, Tjay brushed off the debt. Noting that he spends upwards of $10,000 every time he goes to the strip club, it wasn’t a big deal to him.
Offset Appears to Respond to Tjay’s Comments
Offset appeared to respond to Tjay’s comments in a recent social media post caught by The Shade Room.
“Yeah, we cool,” Offset posted with an accompanying purple demon emoji.
Elsewhere in the interview, Tjay explains why he had to loan the former Migos star the money in the first place. He explained that he and Offset were in the casino together and ran out of money. Tjay claims that Offset became desperate. And began calling family members and eventually asking random people at the casino for money.
Tjay says the final straw was when he and Offset were in the club together and saw him make it rain with money. That was when he confronted the rap star over the debt, and he got defensive with him. Even though the debt was the source of his and Offset’s beef, Tjay says that he was more disappointed than he was upset.
“After I confronted him in the club, and it got everywhere a whole lot of rappers in my dm saying OFFSET owes me bread too, and this n***a is 10 years older than me, I am disappointed,” he added.
Things came to a head when Tjay and several of his associates ambushed Offset outside the Hollywood Hard Rock Hotel. And one of the associates pulled out a gun and shot the rapper amid the melee. Tjay was never arrested in connection with the shooting. But he was arrested that night on two misdemeanor charges and released on $3000 bail the next day.
