One thing about Memphis, they’re going to stick together. So, of course, Memphis native K. Michelle had a lot to say about Pooh Shiesty’s ongoing saga with Gucci Mane.
K. Michelle Gets Honest on Gucci Mane, Pooh Shiesty Saga
Pooh Shiesty was arrested in April. After being connected to an armed robbery earlier this year, where he allegedly held Gucci Mane at gunpoint to coerce him into releasing him from his contract with his label 1017 Brick Squad.
K. Michelle was a recent guest on Shannon Sharpe’s talk show Club Shay Shay. And offered her two cents. And while she says she doesn’t believe that either party was right in this situation, she did add that Shiesty does deserve a “fair shot.”
“Pooh Shiesty absolutely is a storyteller. To have to fight so long and then, you think you made it, and someone comes and takes your dream from you. Neither party, to me, is right,” she said. “I love Gucci, he’s always cool, but that young man deserves a fair shot.”

Pooh Shiesty was previously jailed for a federal firearms conspiracy conviction. This was derived from a plethora of incidents involving drug trafficking and violent crimes, including a 2020 shooting where he and others assaulted victims to steal marijuana, codeine, and sneakers.
He pleaded guilty in January 2022 and was sentenced to over five years in prison.
K. Michelle added that she visited the rapper in prison during his last bid. And felt it was her duty to check in on him as a fellow Memphis native.
“When Pooh Shiesty was in jail last time, I did check in on him. … We come from a city where we have to fight for everything that we have. I know what it’s like for somebody to sign you up and not give you anything,” she added.
If he is found guilty, Pooh Shiesty could face the rest of his life in prison.
