Meek Mill believes that he knows who is behind his music streams, seeing a major decline in 2024 — DJ Akademiks.
In a post shared by RapMaddd on X, social media account AkademiksTV is put under a microscope. The account, which is allegedly run by a man named George Nguyen, is also known as Grand Chat Wizard. A man who was accused of exclusively attacking black American artists. And according to the post by RapMaddd, although Akademiks TV claims not to be linked directly to the media possibility, the account has been traced back to him.
Meek Mill Blames Akademiks For Drop in Streams
In response to the report from RapMaddd, Meek Mill recalled his streams suffering a major decline in 2024. And claimed that he hired investigators to look into why. And he says that the investigation led him back to DJ Akademiks.
“Who is the Grand Wizard? I’ve been hearing about you for a min…… I’ve used Claude and real investigators. To ask why my streams declined 89%, not normal in 2024,” Meek wrote in asocial media post on Monday (June 22). “It pointed me to akademiks campaign. Streams are back to normal btw akademiks, so we need answers tap in. I remember I said we’re gonna follow everything because it’s all documented on the net.”

Of course, fans on social media had a lot to say about Meek Mill’s claim.
“You were around all those billionaires and your slow ass ain’t learn no business acumen,” one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Bro, it’s clear as day. Akademiks had pages and people working for him and with him to run narratives and make money off content,” a second user chimed in.
“It’s actually blowing my mind finding out all these artists didn’t know their reach was fake and simulated by labels,” a third user remarked.
At the time of writing, Akademiks has not responded to Meek’s comments.
