Lil Wayne has issued a second apology to fans in Bangor, Maine. After no-showing at a scheduled concert with no explanation at the time.
Lil Wayne Doubles Down on Apology For Concert No-Show
During a recent livestream, Wayne doubled down on his apology. And revealed that the reason he no-showed at the show was health-related. The rap star revealed that he struggles with epilepsy and seizures, which are triggered by migraines, and after feeling a migraine before showtime, he chose to prioritize his health.
“Bangor, Maine, I gotta apologize to you personally again… Sorry for missing that show the other night,” he said in a clip caught by Big_Business on X.”Listen, I have epilepsy, and I have seizures, right? Thank God I haven’t had a seizure in years, but seizures have triggers. The trigger to my seizures is bad-ass migraines, and I had a bad-ass migraine that night.”

Wayne explained that although he hasn’t suffered a seizure in years, severe migraines can trigger his epilepsy and prevented him from performing that night.

However, fans in the comments section of the post did not appear to have much sympathy for Weezy.
“Then maybe stop touring?” one fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“If triggers are known, why aren’t medical contingencies built into tour contracts upfront? Fans deserve that transparency,” a second user chimed in.
“Say what you will, but a simple text to a business manager to let people know is the least he could’ve done,” a third user remarked.
Several people also pointed out that Weezy was in good enough health to make an appearance at Michael Rubin’s all-white party over the weekend. So naturally, they questioned the severity of said migraine.
The concert has been rescheduled for July 28.
