Music Executive Ray Daniels claimed JAY-Z had an album done, he was just waiting for a company to partner with him for the release.
However, Roc Nation is disputing these claims.
On Instagram, Roc Nation posted a black screen answering fans: “‘Album Done,'” Fake News.”
The post indicates that anyone saying JAY-Z has an album ready to go is capping.
Of course, speculation is warranted considering he recently dropped a remix with his wife Beyonce for “Morning Dew (Donk).” He also spit several freestyles during his Roots Picnic set and Yankee Stadium shows. In addition, he’s partnering with HBO for a docuseries sitting down with Rick Rubin about his long career.
JAY is extending his tour to select cities as well.
The legendary rapper is clearly active and inspired, arguably the most active he’s been this decade, music wise.
Roc Nation responded to Ray Daniels after he said Jay-Z’s album is officially done:

Could There Be Any Truth To The Rumors Though?
Now, JAY has done this before, offering guest verses here and there which resulted in no new solo music. However, it hasn’t stopped fans from speculating.
Even when Roc Nation shut down the rumors, fans didn’t believe them.
“See how he immediately contacted his management to end this “fake” news? it wasn’t fake news Jay Z aka Beyonce’s husband was testing the water because he wanted to see the fans reaction first and nobody cared so he said nah i don’t want to sell a double cheese plastic album,” one user posted.
“I believe the album IS done . Jay Z just dnt want Ray Daniel’s to be right again or have someone tell it before he gets to,” another user posted.
“Jay-Z is about to unleash hell on the hip hop world with this new album. Aubrey doesn’t know what he’s unleashed,” another user posted.
