Billboard-charting rapper BigXThaPlug had his show at the Country Rising festival in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada canceled due to a personal emergency. Turns out it was because he’s in trouble with the law, again.
According to a report by Fox9 in court records show the rapper was arrested by the Allen Police Department and booked into the Collin County Jail in Texas on Friday, August 21st.
BigX has been charged with driving while intoxicated, marijuana possession of less than 2 ounces, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
This is BigX’s third arrest in the past two years. Back in February 2025, he was booked for marijuana possession charge in Arlington, though he received a dismissal. Then, exactly one year ago to his latest arrest, on August 21, 2025, he got hit with very similar charges, facing marijuana possession and firearm related offenses.
There’s no statement from his team at this time regarding their client’s arrest.

BigX Vs. Texas
BigX could be facing some serious punishment due to the crackdown on marijuana possession in Texas.
As noted in our previous story regarding Charleston White, Texas does not play with marijuana.
In fact, Texas recently changed their laws, banning THC and other products, along with adding severity to possession charges.
If convicted, BigX could face time in prison.
