Jay Z does a rare interview with BBC Radio and talks about his mindset when creating music. Jay Z talks about his approach to music being the approach of just speaking on his life at the time upon creation. Interviewer Clara Amfo ask Jay Z about the consciousness that people seemed to have received from Jay Z’s 4:44 album.
Jay Z answers by referring to his earlier works and how he was dropping jewels 20 plus years ago. Jay explains that people know more about his personal life now than what was revealed about his life during the early parts of his career which makes his stories automatically more interesting.
Jay Z also speaks on social issues claiming that President Trump has given him even more material to talk about. Hopefully we can get another Jay Z album as soon as next year. Checkout the interview and performance.
