With over 30 years in the game Ice Cube could have left rap alone a while ago. The West Coast King is back. Cube is getting ready to release his 10th solo studio album Everythangs Corrupt and recently revealed the release date for the album.
Cube took to Instagram and shared the date of the release. “December 7, 2018. A day that will live in Infamy…,” he captioned the album’s cover art on IG.
It’s been nearly a decade since we got a new album from Cube. The last offering was I Am the West, which came out in 2010. Since then Cube has been focusing heavily on his acting and film producing career with movies like Ride Along, Lottery Ticket, Rampart, The Book of Life, Barbershop: The Next Cut and more.
Last May, Cube signed a new recording contract with Interscope Records. “We are thrilled to announce that Ice Cube has joined the Interscope family,” John Janick, Chairman and CEO of Interscope Geffen A&M said of the signing. “He’s obviously one of the legendary figures in hip-hop… that’s a massive statement on its own, but he’s so much more than that. Cube has an incredible body of work, and as a fan I’m honored to welcome him to the label.”
