OJ Da Juiceman was one of the original artists on Gucci Mane’s 1017 Brick Squad label. So, of course, he had thoughts on the ongoing saga between Gucci Mane and Pooh Shiesty.
OJ Da Juiceman Weighs in On Gucci Mane, Pooh Shiesty Drama
Pooh Shiesty was arrested earlier in April. The feds alleged that he executed an armed robbery at Gucci Mane’s studio in Dallas. He held him at gunpoint, forcing him to release him from his record deal with his label, 1017 Brick Squad. The case has blurred the lines of when it’s appropriate to bring street culture into the Boardroom.
During a recent appearance on Yung Joc’s Streetz Morning Takeover, OJ The Juiceman says that the “corporate” route was the only feasible way for Gucci and Shiesty to settle their differences.
“Once it went that route, you can’t handle it, nothing but corporate,” the rapper said in a clip caught by KollegeKidd on X. “The paperwork is non-void, dude signing under duress. Gucci invests $2M in him. ‘Hey man, give me $5M back. I want my investment.’ Gotta get a little profit off it. If [Yo Gotti] was offering you $15M, give me the [$5M], walk away with [$10M], I would’ve let you out your paperwork.”

Of course, O.J. The Juiceman’s remarks led to mixed reactions on social media.
“These Og & rappers tricked all the Yns into the streets just to start changing rules & backpedaling,” one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“They move the goal post when it’s someone they like,” a second user chimed in.
“Only crash dummies think everything is snitching… You went outta pocket on a corporate level. This ain’t a drug deal,” a third user remarked.
If Pooh Shiesty is convicted, he could spend the rest of his life in prison.
